This collection began with access to surplus material, reclaimed textured aluminium salvaged from renovations to RMIT's Brunswick campus roof, the same sheet stock that gave life to the 0rz0 lighting family. With one exceedingly basic self-imposed challenge: work only with the simplest workshop techniques and machinery. Metal bending and rolling, centuries old techniques.
From those constraints came a considered family of objects, a vase, a pedestal, an incense holder, an altarpiece candlestick holder, and a wall candle holder. Each one shaped by a deliberate economy of process.
