The 0rz0 is the first in a family of lights, a 1.5 metre freestanding floor lamp constructed entirely from reclaimed aluminium salvaged from a roof renovation at RMIT's Brunswick campus. Its defining feature is a warm orange LED tube, casting light through a form that began as shaped vacuum formed tests and evolved into something slightly simpler yet still highly effective. The name comes from the short rice-like pasta, which originally served as a reference for the desired surface texture. Zeros were added as an artistic flourish and to signify the starting point for the family.
